Our Rating: [star rating="4"]
Our 4 star review for Tears of Tess is based on the dark unusual themes of erotica, bondage and BDSM. The story-line was fast paced and kept us reading to the very last page. We loved Tess's strong spirit and following her through a journey of healing.

Published: September 2013
Theme: Dark, erotic romance with themes of kidnapping, rape and bondage.
Hero: Q definitely has questionable motives at times and puts the heroine in borderline villian situations. Spoiler: at one time he has her put on display naked while he entertains business associates to add to his fake persona.
Heroine: Tess's incredibly strong, a great fighter against a horrific twist of fate. She didn't have an easy childhood.
Sex: It's hot, it's dark, it includes BDSM, some fiery pain.
The Writing: While it's not perfectly edited, the story line is strong, and none of the hiccups are annoying. This book is definitely better written than 50 Shades of Grey, which it seems to get compared to frequently.
Tess is supposed to be on a romantic trip to Mexico with her boyfriend for their two year anniversary. Brax decides they should travel the city in Mexico and when they stop for a drink, Tess is kidnapped.

Tess is a fighter and isn't willing to bend her will to survive. Branded like a pig ready for slaughter she's forced to walk into a slave market.
Q, is a man who knows what he wants. When he sees Tess walk into that room with her head held high and her feisty, unbroken spirit. He can't help but be drawn to her. He purchases her and the day she walks into his house both their lives are changed.
Tears of Tess by Pepper Winters will have you gripped from the first page. The story of Q & Tess is deep, sexy and disturbing, by the end of the book you'll be asking (begging!) for the next installment.
